Case story
Definition & implementation of an industrial enameling plant for hot water tanks
OEM of electrical waterheaters aims to reduce the costprice of their products while improving its lifetime.
Wish to switch the watertank substrate from cupper to mild steel with porcelain enamel coating.
During the definition stage of this project, DTC reviewed whether the product design was suitable for enamel coating, recommended appropriate enameling processes, provided indicative CAPEX budget and estimated enameling cost per water heater model.
Upon approval of the budget, DTC assisted with the vendor identification & selection and procurement of the necessary enameling machinery.
During starting-up & initial production phase, DTC supplied various process & quality control equipment, provided on-site staff education and assisted with troubleshooting minor quality issues
