Porcelain enamel surfaces may be damaged by impacts with hard objects, especially on corners. Depending upon the size of the damaged surface, the enamel coating may be repaired with a mono or two components "cold enamel" This cold enamel (also known under the brandname Remaille) is available in many colors and may be used to fill dents in enamelled cookware, bath-tubs, shower basins, cookers. Cold enamel may also be used for repairing ceramic earthware & tiles and decorative purposes, like enamelled jewellery or car paintwork.
